Lyrics
Edie Sedgwick
Edie, soon as I was 10
I've had the strangest addiction for you child
Edie, smile for me
Edie, smile for me
Edie, soon as I was 17
I've had this ambition to make you my queen
Edie, my real cool girl
Edie, baby, cover me
Edie, since I saw you in a magazine
with your hair combed back and your leather jeans
I had to know you
Edie, Edie
My real cool girl
She had real cool eyes in real cool skin (in her real cool skin)
Andy's on your left hand and daddy's on your right
And you had drugs flowing through your veins every night
Edie, what have done to yourself?
Dammit, what the hell are you doing to yourself?
In your real cool skin
in your real cool skin
