After a gorgeous gig in Zagreb the day before, The Sisters of Mercy were eagerly awaited in Bratislava at Majestic Music Club for concert no.22 in their Tour of Europe 2023. The Majestic Music Club, or MMC, is the biggest concert club in Bratislava and situated in the building of the local YMCA. Check this link for a virtual walk around this pretty venue.
Unfortunately, this performance did not materialise. As usual, The Virginmarys opened the show, played their set and cleared the stage. Guitars were tuned, but the intro just wouldn't start.
A speaker of the venue appeared and explained that due to health issues of one member of the band, The Sisters of Mercy were not able to play and that their concert was cancelled.
Later in the evening, one of the organisers, Seahorse Promotion declared on their Facebook-page: "Tonight´s show in Bratislava is not going to happen due to sudden health issues of one of the band members. We are in touch with management dealing about a rescheduled date. Once the new date is confirmed, you will be notified directly by e-mail via our ticketing partner. Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date so all the ticket holders are advised to hold on to them. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience."
